Using a fork

I gave Brady his toddler fork for the first time tonight just to see what he would do. He knew exactly what it was for! He even speared two pieces of fish and ate them off the fork. Next,the spoon with some oatmeal or yogurt--that will likely be very messy!

Update time!

It's been a while....but Brady is growing like crazy and running around like a wild man. Brad is in Hong Kong for work, so Brady and I visited my parents this weekend. Here are some pictures from our weekend there.

Brady's first birthday party was today, and it was a blast.....

Beach trip

We took Brady out to the beach today....we'd been once before back in late winter, but he didn't get to play. He loved the sand, but wasn't too sure about the ocean water washing up on his feet.



He is walking everywhere; we got him "real" shoes yesterday---size 6 extra wide! He's got his mama's feet, for sure!

We can't believe our little man will be one on Thursday...he's the best thing ever!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th with family....Brady will be 11 months old on Monday, and I think he'll be walking alone, without the walker, any day now. We love our sweetie so much!

Take me out to the ballgame!

We went to the Savannah Sand Gnats game this afternoon, and Brady met Gnate the Gnat. It was also Bark in the Park--no, Rascal didn't go; he would have whined the whole time--but Brady was fascinated with all of the doggies. We had a great time.

Kymberley and Sophie came to visit yesterday, and Sophie sure is growing up! Brady still looks like a giant next to her, though!! He was ten months old yesterday; she is 3-1/2 months.

Brady is standing (while holding onto something) and cruising. He walks behind his walker, or uses furniture to hold onto. Last night, he pulled up in his pack and play for the first time. He's going to be running around the house any minute!!

9 month checkup

Brady had his 9 month check up this morning. He's 23 pounds, 5 ounces, and 29" long--both in the 90th percentile. Dr. Ben says he's doing great, and after seeing him walk holding someone's fingers, he predicts he's going to be walking alone any day now!

Mary Everett's 1st birthday!

Brady's cousin Mary Everett turned one on Saturday, and we were there to share the fun. Mary Everett is a beautiful, sweet little girl, and I'm so glad she and Brady are going to grow up together. Happy Birthday, M.E.!

Vacation in Key West

We just returned from a week in Key West, and we all had such a great time!

First Baseball Game and trip to Mauldin

Brady went to his first baseball game! It was an exhibition game between the SCAD Bees and the Savannah Sand Gnats. He even got his own baseball, which he tells me is very tasty! Brady and I also went to Mauldin so he could see his grandparents a couple of weeks ago when Brad was out of town. A great time was had by all!!!jlj
