GTT Normal

I called the doctor's office for the results of my Glucose Tolerance Test and they are normal! Now I do not have to do the three-hour glucose screening and I should be good to go on that subject. One less thing!

One of the girls who used to work for me, Keylee, dropped by today with her 2-1/2 week old little girl. I held her for a while and I am so excited. I'm ready to hold Brady. Sierra was so cute; she was sleeping at first then scrunched her face all up and stretched and woke up. What a doll

Dr's Appointment

I had my 24 week doctor's appointment today. I am actually 24 weeks and 4 days. Everything went well. I am measuring 26 weeks, Brady's heartbeat is in the upper 130's, and all is going well. I also did the glucose tolerance test today to test for gestational diabetes. I had to drink this syrupy fruit punch flavored stuff and then they took my blood after an hour. I'll get the results tomorrow or Friday. If it comes back good, I'm done with that. If not, I have to have a 3 hour glucose test for further information.

Brad has been in Las Vegas at a conference since Saturday, and Brady, Rascal and I really miss him. We're ready for him to come home, but I know he's having a good time out there. He'll be home on Friday night, thank goodness! Rascal needs some extra special attention from his daddy--he's had entirely too much energy the past two nights for my tired self! Bandit is spending the night with us tonight, so that will be wonderful--they can wear each other out!

I visited the day care we are interested in, Calvary Day School, and really liked it. I got us on the list, and they said I should have no problems with the date I need the day care in October. Brad and I are going on a tour in the next week or so just to confirm our choice, but from everything I've heard from friends and what I saw today, I'm pretty sure that's where we'll go!

I have my next doctor's appt. in 4 weeks, and after that I have to start going every two weeks--it's getting here fast, and we can't wait!

Furniture

We bought Brady's furniture this past weekend in Atlanta! We got him a panel back convertible crib, a 7-drawer double dresser, and a 5-drawer chest, by Capretti home. The wood color is called espresso brown. We'll get it in 4-8 weeks. I also ordered my glider yesterday, and it's espresso wood with oatmeal fabric. I can't wait to sit in it and hold him!

I am 23 weeks and 3 days now, so it's getting close. I still feel pretty good; just tired after work some days. He is kicking me pretty regularly now, which is just so cool. We can't wait to meet him!
