30 week doctor visit

I'm 30 weeks and 4 days today, and we just had our doctor's appointment. Everything is going well. I am measuring 32 weeks, still within normal range, and my blood pressure was 122/60. Everything else checked out good too. I only gained 2 pounds since the last visit (thank goodness!), so that was a nice thing to find out too. Brady's heartbeat is in the mid 140's, which is good also.

We also found out that our nurse practitioner, Beverly, who we see on alternating visits, is teaching our Prepared Childbirth class this Saturday. We're pretty excited about it, because she is great; we know it's going to be a great class.

Next appointment: June 11!!

1st Bay Shower

We had our first baby shower last Saturday, the 17th, in Greenville. It was great! We got lots of great stuff for Brady; he is definitely going to be a well dressed little boy! We got one gift that really blew us away. Brad's mom had saved Brad's afghan from when he was a baby. When we got married 5 years ago, she had her sister repair the holes in it and cleaned it and saved it just in case. She gave it to us at the shower, and it's beautiful! I can't believe it's 36 years old! It looks brand new, and I know we are going to love using it with Brady. It's so neat having something like that from Brad's childhood to pass on to our child, and hopefully his child one day! It was a great day!


And an update on our new niece! She is doing really well; her IVs are out, she's out from under the lamp, and she is starting to eat from a bottle! I know that Barry and Riley are so excited that she is doing so well and growing and so are we. We can't wait for them to be able to take her home!!

We have a new Niece!

Little Mary Everett Grant was born on Friday, May 16, at 10:24 p.m. She weighed in a 3 lbs., 5 oz. She was born at 31 and half weeks. Both Riley and M.E. are doing well and M.E. is breathing on her own. We're so excited she's here and glad that she's doing well. We can't wait to be able to hold her in a few weeks!

28 week Dr's appointment

We had our 28 week doctor's appointment today. I am actually 28 weeks and 4 days. Everything is going well. My blood pressure was 124/74 and my urine was clear of sugar or protein. Brady's heartbeat was 151, which doesn't surprise me, because he is very active! I am measuring 30 weeks, but Dr. Mc says that's within range so it's no big deal. I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now, instead of every 4 weeks. It's getting closer! We're just so happy that everything is still going well, and hope it continues to go this well. I have huge ankles most nights, but other than that I'm doing good.
